Hickman County
Yes we are organized and mobilized. Even though we are a voting minority currently, we believe our democratic values are the best solution for our small towns and rural locations. We invite you to join us at events, volunteer to host a house party or book club, or get more active by attending our monthly meetings. You can help us by wearing our merchandise to show our solidarity and interest in democracy.
Our county population is hovering around 25,000 and the county seat is Centerville where we have our meetings. Because Tennessee is an historically low voter turnout state, we believe that there are more of us out there that would exercise their right to vote if you felt like it would make a difference. If you are ever interested in becoming a candidate for any county-wide position or this district representation, please contact us for more information.
We believe that we can elect a representative in the future that cares about our community. Let's work towards flipping the seat in 2024 and then hold onto it. Especially if you consider that only 5% of our district voted for our current representative in the primaries this should be a motivating factor next time.
